These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of SmoothDrive's Website, located at https://smoothdrive.org.uk.

By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use the website if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

All SmoothDrive appointed driving instructors are fully qualified and self-employed and are governed by the DVSA. They all hold a current Criminal record check and are on the national register of approved driving instructors. (ADI). All driving instructors have a responsibility to ensure they are up to date with changes in the training and development of learner drivers.

The pupil will be permitted to use the training car for their driving test providing the pupil has reached a safe standard of driving. Whilst every effort is made to get the pupil to test level, and to take the practical test, if it is considered by the instructor that the pupil could be a danger to themselves, the DSA examiner or to the general public, then for safety reasons, he/she will not be allowed to use the training car for the test and will be advised accordingly.

Allocated Driving Instructor will cover the driving test only if: - The pupil have booked at least 10 hours of driving

PAYMENTS

Payment could be made by paying the full price for the block or, can be made at the end of each lesson. SmoothDrive Driving School will accept payment by Cash, Paypal Or by Bank transfer.

PUPIL RESPONSIBILITY

The pupil must have a current valid provisional licence. The pupil must show the photo card licence to the driving instructor on their first meeting. The pupil must take the photo card driving licence to the theory test and driving test centre. This is the pupil’s responsibility and neither SmoothDrive or the driving instructor will be accountable for any situation where a pupil fails to bring the photo card licence with them. It is the pupil’s responsibility to notify SmoothDrive and the Driving Instructor of the following when making a booking:

-Theory pass certificate number and date passed (if applicable) -Your Home Address and your pick up address (if different from home address) -Possible availability dates and time -Any medical conditions which could affect driving lessons

Failure To Attend

Any arrangements for the driving lessons, including the start time and start location, shall be agreed between pupil and the driving instructor directly. If the pupil fails to attend any pre-arranged appointments between pupil and driving instructor in the agreed course schedule, then these hours will be considered as forfeited and lost. There will be NO recourse from SmoothDrive to obtain the lost hours and reschedule.

SmoothDrive will NOT attempt to negotiate a recalculation of your course schedule to accommodate hours lost by the pupil’s failure to attend. If you do not attend a lesson, the driving instructor will be entitled to keep the full tuition fee of the missed lesson and the lesson time will be deducted from your course hours.

The Car

Any car used for your driving course is provided by your appointed course driving instructor. However, the car will always be in a legal and roadworthy condition. Clean and tidy and be fitted with dual controls. The car will also be insured by your driving instructor or their vehicle supplier for the purpose of teaching people to drive and use for driving tests.

Refund Policy

Applies only for the block packages from 30 hours onwards!

At SmoothDrive we value all customer and work tirelessly to prepare the service you have booked. We work very hard to prepare all courses in an efficient manner. The vast majority of courses are fulfilled within the advised timeframe. However, on occasions, especially at busy periods the waiting times can increase substantially. This is out of our hands. We operate a strict refund policy. Please read this whole refund policy to ensure you are aware of the rules we apply. These are in place to ensure your course booking is fair on yourself, your course instructor and allows the business the time required to prepare your driving course and are non-negotiable.

All refund requests are dealt with in order of receipt and processed within 14 days. Cooling off period / Cancelling within 14 days At SmoothDrive we have a 14 days cooling off period. The 14 days starts from the digital date and time stamp on your online booking. The reason for this is that as soon as you paid for your course you are asking SmoothDrive to secure paid for services to prepare your course. This includes:

1.Driving instructor deposit

2.Administration

SmoothDrive will only be responsible for a full refund if we fail to provide any part of your course under our control. These are: - Failing to pair you with a driving instructor

SmoothDrive will not be responsible for a refund if:

- If you change the dates of the lessons after we've paired you with a driving instructor - If You fail your driving test - If the hours you booked are not enough to get you to a safe standard fit for taking the driving test

- If you do not get along with your course instructor

- If you change your mind after 24 hours

- If you change your mind after you have started your course

- If you miss hours of your course that are already agreed between you an the course driving instructor.

How to apply for a refund? In all cases of a refund request, you must contact us at smoothdrive81@gmail.com

All refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis. The final decision is made by the company accounts management team. Any refund request exceeding the 24 hour cooling off period will be rejected unless, SmoothDrive have failed to fulfil their obligations, these are:

- Failing to pair you with a driving instructor

Cancellation By Instructor

If the course schedule is cancelled by the appointed ADI,

SmoothDrive will make the arrangements where possible to re-arrange the course with another driving instructor. However, if this is not possible SmoothDrive will offer a full refund to the pupil and peruse any additional costs through legal services to the driving instructor.
